The Chevrolet Malibu has been the brand's best selling car in recent years. It has helped to keep General Motors afloat through a difficult economy, and now the midsize sedan is getting an extensive makeover for the 2013 model year. In advance of a full unveiling of the new car design on April 18th , the company has released a teaser video depicting a designer working on the car in a futuristic studio.

In this video images of the car are displayed on a 3D hologram projector, and it appears from these images the all-new Malibu will have a much more dramatic look than the rather plain model it is replacing. It appears to have Camaro-inspired tail lights and strong shoulder and character lines that create a sporty wedge profile.

According to a study by Ad-ology, nearly one-third of consumers surveyed said that better gas mileage prompted their desire to buy a new car. Almost half the car shoppers in the May 2011 study said they were considering on buying a Ford as their new car, an increase of 35% of those who chose Ford in January 2011.

The survey also revealed that consumers were most interested in fuel economy/gas mileage after the purchase price of the new car. Nearly 35% of U.S. adults said they were planning on buying a new or used car in the next 12 months. Another significant finding of the stud was that over half of those considering a new car purchase thought of themselves as technology lovers. A total of 5,921 U.S. adults were surveyed to analyze the motivating factor for purchasing a new car.

US News has published the best used car sales deals available for the month of April. The top three used car sales and deals are for a 2007 Mercedes C-Class, a 2009 VW Jetta and a 2008 Mazda3.

The used cars prices for the above used car sales and deals are $22,335 for the Mercedes, $16,345 for the Volkswagen and $12,685 for the Mazda. Mercedes is offering 1.99 percent financing on select certified pre-owned models.

The other models available at this rate include the entry-level C-Class, and the benchmark E-Class. Certified Pre owned Volkswagens are available for 1.9 percent APR for upto 48 months. Mazda is offering 1.99 percent financing for upto 36 months as one of its used car sales promotions.
